3D Repository of DFG 3D-Viewer: Infrastructure for digital 3D reconstructions

The DFG 3D-Viewer project was based on the creation of an infrasturcture for the basic documentation and publication of 3D models of digital reconstructions based on existing standards. To this end, a universal 3D viewer, a metadata documentation scheme, and a way to transfer the 3D model along with metadata for aggregation purposes were developed. In order to test the developed solutions, a prototype WissKI repository was created, whose current task is to collect 3D models of digital heritage.
